So... I've discovered freecycle.org. This is, quite possibly, the coolest thing ever. It's a nationwide yahoo group that's divided up into towns or counties or whatever - communities. And it's all about giving things away or getting things for free. I put up a post yesterday for misc. girls toys and dress-up clothes, and I got... 100 RESPONSES! That's right, 100 people want the crap that I would normally throw away. Awesome, huh?
I signed up for the Leavenworth one, the KC one, and the Manhattan one. It's going to be my new favorite thing for awhile.
The pool is open at the complex. The kids and I went down there about 1 yesterday and spent an hour or so. There was NO ONE else there. So it was very nice.
Last night, Doug and I went to a cruise and hung out with his friend Dave. The girls stayed home alone (Hannah, don't tell Gramma) and were awesome. They didn't call every two seconds, they didn't trash the house, there was no tattling when I got home. They were suitably rewarded w/food from DQ and then went to bed with no complaints at all so that Doug and I could watch a movie. VERRA NICE.
I'm off to do laundry. Fun Fun.
